James F. Moulton Jr. of Rochester, New Hampshire, entered eternal rest on November 14, 2024. He passed peacefully with his wife, Gail, by his side. He was born on January 13, 1935, to James F. Moulton Sr. and Lillian (Perry) Grace Moulton of Kennebunk. Graduating from Kennebunk High School in 1953, he went on to New England School of Theology, Brookline, Massachusetts (now Berkshire Christian). On September 3, 1955, Jim married Louise Stone of Kennebunk and together they raised three children.
Jim became pastor of four Advent Christian Churches: Bridgton, Maine, Monroe, North Carolina, Concord, New Hampshire, and Lenoir, North Carolina. Before, during and after pastorates, he worked with his father on the family farm in Kennebunk as well as worked at various municipal water departments. Then from 1970-1972, Jim became the farm manager at Teen Challenge Training Ctr in Rehrersburg, Pennsylvania. Eventually, he took over the Moulton Dairy Farm on Summer St in Kennebunk.
After retiring, he and Louise moved to Wells. Jim loved the Lord and constantly studied the scriptures. Together he and Louise began a letter writing ministry that encouraged many people near and far. On Sundays, Jim could always be found in church, faithfully serving as usher, and greeting newcomers at The Bible Speaks Church in South Berwick, Maine. In 2012, his wife of 57 years, Louise, predeceased him, and in 2013 Jim moved to Rochester to be with his daughter's family.
In 2014, he married Gail (Smith) Rundgren. Jim continued his letter and card writing ministry and began working alongside of Gail in her passion for Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child at Rochester's Emmanuel Advent Christian Church.
Jim was predeceased by his parents, two brothers and their wives, his first wife, Louise, and son-in-law, Thomas Hinckley. He is survived by his wife, Gail; his children and spouses, Stephen (Martina) Moulton, Cynthia Hinckley, David (Sue) Moulton; stepchildren, Eric (Colleen) Rundgren, and Dana (Wanda) Rundgren. He will be fondly remembered by his six grandchildren and their spouses as well as four dear great-grandchildren.
Arrangements by Bibber Memorial Chapel, Kennebunk Maine.
