Mark Anthony Porter was born on July 2,1950, in Dallas, Texas, to Weldon Durett and Helen Oleta Porter, and passed away on August 16, 2023, surrounded by family.
He is survived by his son, Stephen Porter, and wife, Sonia Porter, along with their children, Abigail and Alyssa Porter; his daughter, Christiana Porter, and her children; his sister, Rene Heald and husband, Paul, and their children; as well as his brother, Scott Porter and wife, Lori, and their children.
Preceding Mark in death are his parents, his wife, Katherine Jackson-Porter; and grandson, Thomas Porter.
Mark retired in 2005 from the U.S. Postal Service after 33 years.
