Rose Anne Mendenhall - Lacey, WA

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Rose Anne Mendenhall, 64, of Lacey, Washington, died in Olympia, Washington, on May 21, 2024.

She was born in Detroit, Michigan, in 1960 to Wilford Joseph and Elizabeth Ann Schaldenbrand. Rose attended Farmington High School before working in drafting and then becoming a homemaker and homeschool mom. She then earned her bachelor's and master's degrees each in education, and taught as a resource teacher in the North Thurston School District for several years. She loved Jesus and and everyone she met, and served joyfully and faithfully in her church and community.

Rose was preceded in death by her dear sister, Bonnie Yeo. She is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Mendenhall; her loving daughters, Crystal Van Tine, Melissa Johnson, and Jessica Johnson; her sons-in-love, Kyle Van Tine, Justin Johnson, and Evan Johnson; her grandchildren, Ellie, Liam, Izzy, Audri, Kai, Emery, and Gayle; her parents, Wilford and Elizabeth Schaldenbrand; her siblings, Sherri Dent, Christopher Schaldenbrand, and Pamela Spilde; and her brothers-in-love, David Dent and Tim Spilde.

A Celebration of Life will be held June 1, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., at Calvary Chapel North Thurston, 4706 Park Center Ave, Lacey, WA 98516.

Ashes to ashes and dust to dust. The Lord gives and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.
