God Uses a Shoebox Gift to Transform a Family in the Philippines

October 7, 2019 • Philippines
Bryce Pablo is now a Christ follower and has helped his family come to the Lord as well.

Bryce Pablo and his family are thankful for an Operation Christmas Child shoebox that began their journey to Christ.

Bryce Pablo received a shoebox gift as a 4-year-old. Three years later, he accepted Jesus Christ and led his family to follow the Lord as well!

Bryce Pablo is one of more than 6 million children in the Philippines who have received a gift-filled Operation Christmas Child shoebox gift.

“When I opened my box, I was happy because I saw toy cars, a toothbrush, and some books,” Bryce said.

Struck by this act of generosity, Bryce’s mother encouraged him to go to church to learn more about God.

Bryce accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior when he was 7 years old. He shared the Good News with his parents and brothers, and they, too, made the decision to follow Jesus.

His mother said, “I’m so grateful for the one that packed the shoebox that changed our life.”

Operation Christmas Child Through Operation Christmas Child, Samaritan’s Purse is sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with millions of boys and girls in more than 100 countries each year. Many of these children have never before received a present or heard the true meaning of Christmas—until they open a gift-filled shoebox from a person like you. Some people are not able to give the $10 per shoebox we request for shipping and related costs. By adopting a shoebox, you can partner with them to deliver the Gospel and help "bring salvation to the ends of the earth" (Acts 13:47, ESV).
