This is a volunteer opportunity that allows former shoebox recipients, The Greatest Journey graduates/teachers, and select year-round volunteers to share their compelling Operation Christmas Child story with others. Becoming an Operation Christmas Child Spokesperson is a unique opportunity. Every year, the Operation Christmas Child Speakers Bureau Team selects a number of former shoebox recipients who are passionate and called to become Operation Christmas Child Spokespersons.

If selected, you will be required to complete multiple preliminary online training sessions and attend in-person training sessions over three days to become an official representative of Samaritan's Purse and Operation Christmas Child. You will need access to a computer and the internet to complete the online training. You will be required to travel to Samaritan's Purse headquarters in Boone, North Carolina, to attend the three-day, in-person training sessions. All expenses will be paid. Speakers Bureau will coordinate the training dates with you and the other trainees.

Are you able and willing to commit to the Operation Christmas Child Spokesperson Training?*

After officially becoming an Operation Christmas Child Spokesperson, a commitment to participate in at least five Operation Christmas Child events a year will be required. We will work with your schedule to plan your participation in these events. We just ask for your flexibility.

Social Media Screening*
As part of our Operation Christmas Child Spokesperson selection process, every candidate is subject to a general screening of the candidate’s public social media accounts. The purpose of this screening is to determine candidates’ alignment with Samaritan's Purse’s Christian Code of Conduct. By selecting “Yes” and submitting this form, you agree that you give your consent to the Speakers Bureau to conduct a general screening of all your public social media accounts (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, etc.).
