Step 4

Collect $9 per Box

Your above goal of 0 shoeboxes has a suggested donation amount of $0 to transport and deliver your gifts.

A donation of $9 per box is critical to transport your gift and deliver it into the hands of a child in need.

Here are ideas on how to help your packing party raise funds to ship your shoeboxes:

People can drop off their $9 in cash or check, or set up a computer or tablet to the Follow-Your-Box page where participants can donate online and print off a label that will track where their shoebox ends up.

This fundraising website is easy to use and a great way to personalize your fundraiser.

This will donate $10 to Operation Christmas Child to help reach even more children. (includes processing fees)

Hand out an item for attendees to return full labeled "Your Change Can Change the World" such as disposable coffee cups or mini banks.

Collect change at VBS or Sunday school, like "a penny war".

Ask your church to take up a shoebox shipping offering during your shoebox dedication service.

Host a fundraiser such as a pancake breakfast, yard sale, or bake sale.

Set up a tree with OCC "ornaments" that are small containers or envelopes, and fill with donations by asking friends and family.
